Offshore Sailing

Offshore Sailing gives you an opportunity to see what it’s really like being on the ocean instead of predictable harbour sailing.  The East Coast of Australia is very scenic from the water and gives you a fresh perspective of life on the sea.  Offshore sailing is an ideal escape for those looking for a new challenge to shake up their lives.  Sailing is on board a luxury 42ft Catalina.  All safety gear, meals, skipper and wet weather equipment is on board, all you need to bring is appropriate footwear, hat, sunscreen and a jacket!

Broughton Island Cruise (3 days)
Offshore Sailing - Australian Yacht Charter - Catalina 42 Sailing YachtDepart Lake Macquarie on the high tide, sailing on in to the evening with the first port of call of Port Stephens. Pick up a mooring within Nelson Bay, enjoy a nice dinner, glass of wine and sleep on board overnight. After breakfast the next morning, sail out through the headlands of Tomaree and Yacaaba, past Cabbage Tree Island & on to Broughton Island. After lunch on board, go ashore for a walk and take in the Island’s natural beauty. After enjoying a glass of wine with a cheese platter on the beach, head back to the yacht and enjoy a sumptuous dinner under the stars followed by a good nights sleep. The next morning, depart Broughton and sail back to Lake Macquarie arriving at the Lake’s entrance before sunset.  Cost per person – $750.00 (includes all meals, bedding and complementary drinks).


Broughton Island & Port Stephens Cruise (4 days)
Offshore Sailing - Australian Yacht Charter - Catalina 42 Sailing YachtDepart Lake Macquarie on the high tide sailing on in to the evening with the first port of call of Port Stephens. Stay within a marina where you can enjoy nice hot showers, enjoy a nice dinner, glass of wine and sleep on board overnight. After breakfast the next morning, we will sail out through the headlands of Tomaree and Yaccaba, past Cabbage Tree Island & on to Broughton Island. After lunch on board, we’ll go ashore for a walk and take in the Island’s natural beauty. After enjoying a glass of wine with a cheese platter on the beach, we will go back to the yacht and enjoy a sumptuous dinner under the stars tucked up safely in Esmerelda Bay.  The next morning, we’ll depart Broughton and sail back to Port Stephens to sail the pristine waterways before anchoring in the lovely Fame Cove for the evening.  After breakfast, we’ll head off back to Lake Macquarie arriving at the Lake’s entrance before sunset.  Cost per person – $1000.00 (includes all meals, bedding and complementary drinks).


Pittwater Cruise (3 days)
Offshore Sailing - Australian Yacht Charter - Catalina 42 Sailing YachtDepart Lake Macquarie on the high tide sailing south to Broken Bay into the evening and take up a safe anchorage within Refuge Bay. Enjoy a late dinner with a glass of wine and a peaceful night aboard. After breakfast, go ashore and explore the waterfall and a have walk. Back on board for lunch and a leisurely cruise around Pittwater enjoying the spectacular sights and serenity. Anchor in a quiet bay and enjoy a fine dinner with a glass or two of wine followed by a good nights sleep. Enjoy a hearty breakfast before setting off to sail back along the coast to Lake Macquarie.  Cost per person – $750.00 (includes all meals, bedding and complementary drinks). 


Pittwater & Sydney Harbour Cruise (4 days)

Enjoy a late dinner with a glass of wine and a peaceful night aboard. After breakfast, take a quick look around Pittwater before sailing past Barrenjoey lighthouse turning south & on to Sydney Harbour with lunch on the way. Enter Sydney Harbour and sail up under the Bridge and anchor within Blackwattle Bay where you will settle down for the night, enjoy a glass of wine, a nice dinner and a good sleep. In the morning, go into the Sydney Fish Markets to pick up fresh prawns and have breakfast of green king prawns cooked (on board) with garlic butter and French bread. Then cruise down the Harbour, out through the heads and sail back to the Lake arriving at Swansea before sunset.  Cost per person – $1000.00 (includes all meals, bedding and complementary drinks).


Mystery Destination Cruise (3 days)
Offshore Sailing - Australian Yacht Charter - Catalina 42 Sailing YachtThe destination depends on the direction of the wind. We’ll depart Lake Macquarie on the high tide. If the wind is from the north, we will head south towards Pittwater. If the wind is from the south, we will sail north towards Port Stephens & Broughton Island.  Cost per person – $750.00 (includes all meals, bedding and complementary drinks)
