2011 Rolex Sydney to Hobart (26 December 2011) FULLY BOOKED!
The 65th Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race 2011 will start on 26 December and will be conducted on the waters of Sydney Harbour, the Tasman Sea, Storm Bay and the Derwent River. Over the past 65 years, the Rolex Sydney Hobart has become an icon of Australia’s summer sport, ranking in public interest with such national events as the Melbourne Cup horse race, the Davis Cup tennis and the cricket tests between Australia and England. Few other yachting events worldwide attract media coverage like this does with over 40% of viewers coming from outside of Australia. Cost is A$8000 per crew spot plus insurance excess deposit of A$2500 per crew member (Excluded are travel, accommodation, personal epirbs and wet weather gear).
2011 Gosford to Lord Howe Island Race (29 October 2011) 12 Places Available
Now in it’s 39th year this Category 1 ocean race is numbers restricted due to limited sheltered moorings as a result of the environmental vision of the Island. 3-4 days of blue water racing clears the mind for the scenic joys of an unspoiled ecology. 2012 Audi Sydney to Gold Coast Race (TBA – July 2012) 14 Places Available
The Audi Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race, which starts at 1.00pm from Sydney Harbour on Saturday 30 July, constitutes the first race of the CYCA’s 2008-09 Blue Water Championship Series. After trialling an altered sailing calendar in 2006, the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia has reverted its second largest offshore event behind the Rolex Sydney Hobart, the Audi Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race, back to its traditional winter timeslot. The Audi Sydney Gold Coast, which began in 1986, has traditionally been the curtain opener for the winter northern racing circuit at Airlie Beach and Hamilton Island.
2012 Audi Sydney Newcastle Offshore Race (April 2012) 14 Places Available
The 213 nautical mile Cat 2 race will depart from Sydney Harbour to a laid mark around 20 nautical miles east of Crowdy Head before the fleet heads to Newcastle and the finish in the Hunter River. The Audi Sydney Offshore Newcastle Yacht Race replaces the Audi Sydney Southport and Sydney Mooloolaba yacht races. Cost A$1950 per crew berth (includes race Entry Fee, Skipper, food and beverages, fuel, berthing, insurance, safety gear and training).
2011 Airlie Beach Race Week (TBA – August 2012) 14 Places Available
Formerly known as Hogs Breath Race Week, this event is now in its 19th year. The race week is based out of Abel Point Marina about 10 mins walk to the metropolis of Airlie Beach. There are five race days with a lay day in the middle of the race week. The fleet grows every year and 2008 is likely to be no different. The accommodation, entertainment and facilities are much more reasonably priced and the racing is generally more demanding.

2010 Hamilton Island Race Week (19-27 August 2011) FULLY BOOKED!
Now in it’s 26th year Hamo has developed a reputation for keen racing and lots of partying. The organisers have non-stop activities for both sailors and their shore bound partners. 2 lay days allow for lots of R&R Audi in it’s second year as major sponsor will no doubt continue to expand and improve the experience to an already fantastic week.
